YOU CAN HELP US

Shark Bay in Western Australia is home to some of the largest and most diverse seagrass meadows on the planet. But the future of the meadows is under threat, due to human pressure and climate change. You personally can make a difference in restoring the Shark Bay Seagrass meadows and world's largest marine carbon sink!

Helping is easy, simply buy a bag and our team will do the rest

SEAGRASS RESTORATION

Our team gathers the seedlings from the shoreline that are typically not viable for establishing new seagrass.

COLLECTING SEEDLINGS

01

Our volunteers sew together hessian bags then fill with seedlings and 35kg of sand ready to be placed on the seafloor.

MAKING THE BAGS

02

DELIVERING TO THE BAY FLOOR

Our team of volunteers place each hessian bag on the bay floor

03

The hessian bags allow for the seedlings to grow and for floating seedlings to easily attach to the hessian bags instead of drifting away.

RESTORING THE SEAGRASS

04

Our dedicated team collects seagrass seedlings to help restore underwater meadows, which play a crucial role in supporting marine life and improving water quality.

However, to keep our efforts flourishing, we need your support. Your donations can make a real difference in ensuring the success of our mission and create a thriving underwater habitat for generations to come!
